Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a resident of Gujarat.
- Only SC students are eligible to apply for this program.
- Must possess documents proving tribal affiliation.
- Must be a student between the ages of 18-30.
- Must have at least 12th grade formal education.
- Neither the candidate nor any family member must be employed by a government agency.
- Annual family income must not exceed 120,000 rupees.
Benefits:
- The Tribal Development Authority provides incentives to ST caste members under the laptop yojana.
- Loans of up to Rs. 150,000 are provided for the purchase of computers, laptops, and other related equipment.
- The beneficiary must contribute 10% of the total loan amount.
- For example, if a laptop costs Rs. 40,000, the government will loan Rs. 32,000, or 80% of the cost, and the student will contribute the remaining 20%, or Rs. 8,000.
- SC students in Gujarat are given financial assistance to purchase a new laptop computer.
Remember that only Scheduled Tribes (ST) members are eligible for this program.
